Game 32 / Check out the whole project here
Christmas was sure good to the CBJ fans this year! Last night we captured our 12th win in a row (Refer to this video we took of the celebration for proof). The first period was a little quiet in Nationwide Arena as we all waited to see who would put the first point on the board. After almost 18 minutes of hanging on every pass and SOG (they were few for the Jackets all night), we got what we were looking for: a cannon shot thanks to Sammy Gagner and the Canadiens for giving us a PP opportunity. We were feeling a little more confident during the second and that feeling escalated when Saad made it 2-0 less than 2 mins in. Even though the rest of the game wasn't a complete blowout, Montreal easily out skated us in most of the third and got their own lone goal, but the C B J chants did increase exponentially as time went on. And I'm very happy to spend Christmas Eve as a loving fan of the number 1 team in the NHL.
Game Highlights:
-Seth Jones left the game at 1:12 of the first period after he received a swift puck to the mouth
-We only had 5 SOG in the third period
-Bob is currently leading the league with 20 wins this season
-Cam became the fourth player in Columbus history to score 200 points
-Nick Foligno continues to give the best post game interviews and it is heart warming
