Game 31 / Check out the whole project here

Pens vs. Jacket games are always special, especially because we won our first franchise playoff game against Pitt back in 2014. Last night was no difference. We accomplished our goal of breaking the franchise record for wins in a row on Tuesday against the Kings, but let's be honest: we wanted 1. And we wanted it against the top team in the League. However, the first period wasn't giving a lot of hope As Tortz said, "first period I thought we were wetting our pants." Crosby took a deflected puck off Bob and snapped it right back into the net for an out of the air goal 3 mins in. It was beautiful, and it made my heart crumble. The rest of the period was largely dominated by Pittsburgh, though Cam Atkinson did tie it up with a PP goal. But alas came the next 40 mins, and it was glorious. Karlsson started a goal fest when he flipped the puck past the Pens during 2nd period at 9:45. From there Hartnell scored a hat trick and Boone and Saad had their own goals as well. With a final score of 7-1 that makes WIN NUMBER 11. Now let's get #12 against the Canadians.

Game Highlights:
-This was Scott Hartnell's ninth career hat trick
-Pittsburgh failed to earn a point for the first time in 11 games
-Atkinson currently leads the team with 15 goals this season
-Columbus hasn't lost a game in regulation since the day before Thanksgiving
