Chin - Bring standard ports back to iPhone
Hey guys, as much as I like Apple lately I've been feeling a bit like I'm getting trolled. So here's my mini-rant / solution to bring iPhone 7 and new Macbook Pro to work in "harmony". ;P
Let's begin with some thoughts that've been running through my head: If the audio jack is that old school of a tech then why does my new 2016 Macbook come with one? And since we're loosing Magsafe and going all USB-C why do we need a different charger for the iPhone? Also why can't I use my shinny new Apple buds with my Macbook Pro that was released only couple months apart? Why do I need to carry around little easy to lose dongle with me at all times? And for crying out loud why can't I plug in my latest and greatest iPhone 7 into a Macbook Pro without a freaking dongle? I can keep going but let's pause right here.
What if we could add a little Chin that looked and felt like part of your iPhone and fix all of these problems. It would bring both devices together, have one power brick for charging and allow us to use headphones of our choice. It would give every iPhone user that true stereo front facing speaker experience (it would have grooves that redirect the sound towards you, similar to what you've been doing for years with your hand ;).
At the moment it's just an idea that popped in my head (see the original sketch) and I'm trying to see if it's worth pursuing or doing anything about. If you think this is a good idea and want to help or know someone that is able to help please PM me... Any tweets or shares are appreciated.
