Game 28 / Check out the whole project here

The first minute of the opening period set the tone for the rest of the game. The Flames came out fighting (literally) when Calgary's Matthew Tkachuk started thrashing with Alexander Wennberg. The rest of the game followed suit with fast play and hard hits. But the Jackets don't mind flexing a little muscle of their own. Jenner and Saad put Columbus up 2 by the end of the first, but Calgary was able to slip one past Bob as well on their own 5-on-3. The second period was just as hot. The Jackets quickly went on a power play and just before the puck was going to exit Calgary's zone, Werenski hit it out of the air, put it down and fired it toward the net. Although he was awarded the goal at first, it was later given to Gagner on a deflection. About 6 mins later the Flames had their own chance at a PP, but our favorite Matty Calvert stripped the puck from them and raced down the ice to score on a short wrist shot.

Game Highlights:
-Columbus now has the NHL's best winning percentage at .750
-CBJ is 1 game away from tying their franchise record of winning 9 in a row
-Tortz is also one win away from becoming the 24th NHL coach to win 500 games
-The Jackets currently sit firmly in third place in the Metropolitan Division (only 3 points out of the lead)
