Conan: Live at The Apollo, Killed Direction 1

Yet another DOA Conan direction, this time for his week at The Apollo Theater in New York. These poster designs were meant to set the look for all of the advertising, as well as be cool, commemorative show posters for audience members at the live taping.

Their aesthetic takes inspiration from the many gorgeous silkscreen and letterpress posters that were used to advertise shows at the Apollo in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Much of the type is hand lettered.
