Search vs Browse
I've been working on variations for how users will interact with objects in a database. In all iterations, users are able to create, search, browse and view favorites.
Version 1 puts browse and favorites front and center. A concern here is that users would be overwhelmed by the number of objects and since search is downplayed a bit, go straight to creating a new object.
Versions 2 and 3 work towards bringing search to the forefront and hopefully encouraging users to discover and reuse objects that already exist rather than creating new ones.
Feedback and insights on browse vs. search would be greatly appreciated.
