The Pixel Project - Initial Concept Poster

The Pixel Project is a quarter-long event I'm helping organize at the University of Washington that helps solve the problem of not working on anything "real" or relevant while in school. We are partnering with local companies to present real-world problems to students to work on, culminating in a final presentation in early Spring 2017. By working on these projects, students will be able to add an impressive project to their portfolios and bridge the gap between hypothetical run-of-the mill schoolwork, and getting an internship to further their careers.

Taking a break from the simple, flat, single-color style I've used in the past for the organization that is running the event (Pixel Husky), my work for this event will be much more focused on typography and message-driven content. Transformation is a huge theme, and is displayed through a variety of gradients that will be used.

I'm super excited to see how this event turns out, and even more excited to see what our participants end up creating as they attempt to solve problems that really matter in the world.
