Lake Huron

Third piece to the Great Lakes series I am working on, this one involving Lake Huron! The name of the lake is derived from early French explorers who named it for the Huron people inhabiting the region. Lake Huron has the longest shoreline of the Great Lakes. It is the second largest by surface area and the third largest by volume of water.
