How to Make a Boat

While studying Mechanical Engineering, my Thermodynamics I final project was to build a self-propelling boat that moved a quarter more than a meter using a tea light and whatever materials I needed. These are illustrations I made for the final report, and if you can't guess the individual items, they are (from left-to-right): a U.S. quarter, two straws, a soda can, a milk carton, sticky-tack, and a tea light.

It moved at about the speed of smell, but it worked!
