Western House Construction

Did this back in 2009. Obvious that I was inspired in part by the FedEx logo. Idea came together at the gym, tried making it work with existing typefaces for weeks until I gave up and created the letterforms from scratch. A bit forced to create the over hang of the roof by thinning out the stems of the W compared to the H.

Settled on Futura Light for the contrast between the monogram and wordmark. The thinness also reminds me of the hand lettering we used to do in drafting class.
