Blue Jackets Score: November 15, 2016

Game 14 / Check out the whole project here

With yet another overtime victory, the Jackets have lengthened their winning streak on home ice to 6 in a row. I am more excited than ever to head home to my dearly beloved Columbus this Thanksgiving and feel the hockey love. (Though I do wish they could have done this last year when I still had my 2 quarter season, lower bowl, double attack side seats!) No one scored in the first period and at the end of the second Washington was up by one. But with less than 7 minutes left in the 3rd Werenski tied it up with a nice little wrist shot. Great news right! Well here's the big moment of the night: 53 seconds later Backstrom scored for Washington after the puck decided to play some classic air hockey in the crease, and the Jackets challenged the goal. Why? Not goalie interference, but offside entry. Que the reel and there it is: Washington skating in before the puck. Big shout out to the Blue Jackets video coach Dan Singleton for spotting that! Forward to OT and 37 seconds in Cam said goodnight to the Capitals ended the game.

Game Highlights: -Torts announced post game that the Jackets are dropping morning practices on game days on a trial basis because he wants them to be fresh -We've noticed that our defensemen have been playing a more active offensive role this season. Well here's some proof: Werenski is the NHL's fifth-highest scoring defenseman -This is the 6th win on home ice in a row
