The Night of Writing Dangerously 2016

I was asked back for the third year in a row to create a promotional poster and other art for The Night of Writing Dangerously, a fundraiser for the nonprofit National Novel Writing Month.

The theme of the event is always noir/20s-40s, so this time I decided to try and emulate posters and pamphlets from the many world's fairs from that era. Hidden throughout the fair's architecture are many implements of writing, which are also found in NaNoWriMo's logo. All type is custom lettering.
