Bayard Rustin

Bayard Rustin, a leading strategist in the civil rights movement, gay rights advocate (and gay man himself), and chief organizer of the March on Washington. I took the opportunity inktober presented to also begin learning more about our queer history in the United States, celebrating known and unknown heroes, and pointing out people who have opposed queer liberation one way or another.
