November 1st

Halloween has come and gone, the election is a week away, and (if we survive the election) Thanksgiving is on it's way. Then we bid this crazy, chaotic 2016 behind and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Today is the first day of a new month. The first opportunity to be better. To be less suspicious and more gracious, to consume less and create more, to put down our digital masters and enjoy the kaleidoscope of fall color, to trade in destructive discourse for weapons of creation.

As with every fresh start we have to ask ourselves not only what kind of people we are going to be... but what kind of people we can be.

My encouragement to you is to be creative. Always be creative, even when the rest of the world is falling apart. We alone cannot change the world, but we can create the ideas that make it look like a better place.
