Look Homeward Angel
"Look Homeward, Angel" is a 1929 autobiographical novel by Thomas Wolfe. The setting is a fictional town based on his hometown of Asheville, North Carolina.
It has been deemed a work of brilliance and emotional power by some, a "formless autobiography" by others. Therein lies what I find deeply moving, almost startling, about this story. It's closeness to home. It is written by a master at the height of his
powers; it is written by a wandering man. The dichotomy is palpable.

Enter my self-imposed challenge: as both avid reader and evolving designer, I'd like to (for the hell of it) design covers for some of my favorite books. I'll share the final designs with a brief summary of the specimen.
For now, I may limit it to books that I've carried with me on extended journies: by train, plane, or my own two feet into the wilderness.
