A Long Time Coming

It took me a long time to get here. I feel like I go through so many moods when I create, it's hard to know from one day to the next what kind of mark I want to represent my work as a whole. I finally dug deep to discover that a logo is only a fraction of the bigger picture. This took the pressure off of the logo but forced me to come to terms with my purpose.

Why am I doing this? What I found is that I deeply care about clear communication. It can be hard to establish understandings with people, especially when there's so much noise almost everywhere. It can feel like life is comprised of varying intensities of monotony and static - making it difficult to connect with others. This is why graphic design is so important. It carefully considers the obstacles between people and then connects the dots in a human way.

Careful communication can preserve relationships, prevent tragedy and completely transform someone's perception of themselves. I want to help quiet the noise with unique and disarming imagery - custom letters or illustration - to help people communicate and connect. This is where I find purpose. I have so much to learn, but I have never been so happy to be on a path.
