Remarketing

Having access to airline customers, we decided to re-target customer who had a strong tendency to book car hire, setting a cookie once they had interacted.

I setup the ad via the Google Web Designer (GWD) tool linking into the car hire feed on prices, so that the ad would be dynamic on price and location searched. Google are now using my ad as a best in practice example with GWD still being a beta application.

The results were: 56% ROI of 1,440 car hire booking and a click through rate of 0.2%. This ran from June to August 2016. The ads where also setup by residency and found that Italy, Germany, Netherlands and France converted better than the UK and Ireland.
