Stripe-o-Saurus

My brother Brian allowed me to animate one of his drawings, that of a striped dinosaur (he posts some of his stuff here: https://www.instagram.com/waffledog/). I think it turned out pretty well!

The original drawing I had was rasterized, so I made a vector in Illustrator, cleaned it up a little, brought it into After Effects, turned it into a series of Shape Layers, altered them into a number of poses and hooked them up to some joysticks for some less cumbersome control.

Oh, and I opted to have the stripe texture be *slightly* unmoving, sort of inspired by Stan's coat from Monkey Island (apparently the effect is called "Unmoving Plaid http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnmovingPlaid). I figure it goes with sort of the goofy theme.
