The Flyboys of Buffalo

A logo I created for an upcoming project I'm taking part in called "The Flyboys of Buffalo." It is a multi-part interview series with different aerial photographers in and around Buffalo.

For the design, I used the term "flyboys", an older nickname for pilots, and created a crest to represent wings that pilots get when they are certified to fly. The propeller in the middle is both a representation of the props that power the quadcopters and also the planes that were flown when flyboys was a popular slang term.
