Red Sox Scores: October 2, 2016
The last game of the regular season started with an emotional tribute to David Ortiz, whose number will be retired next season. The Blue Jays spoiled the celebration though, eking out a a victory to punch their ticket to the playoffs. Hanley Ramírez broke up Aaron Sanchez’s no-hit bid in the seventh inning, making the first baseman the third Red Sox player to hit the 30 home run and 100+ RBI mark.
