This work was originally created to help raise funds for his leukemia treatments in 2015. The original portrait was purchased by a number of community members and gifted to James while he was in the hospital - I found out this news the same day that I had been declined a seemingly likely job offer and it encouraged me to continue creating personal works such as this. Both James and his creative partner in crime / wife, Ciara Blossom, have contributed heavily to the inspiration and development of the local creative community. I've danced to his DJ sets countless times over the years and have shared the stage with her on a number of occasions. I would not be where I'm at as a creative being without their co-creationship that they share with the world.

Created with acrylic paint, colored pencil, graphite, ink and palo santo smoke on paper while listening to James' mixes. The white sigial above his head says "heal".
