Dracula Book Cover

This is a redesign for the well known novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, which caters to readers of horror and gothic fiction. After researching the novel, I strived to capture the gothic setting of the story, which takes place in Transylvania.

I decided to handletter my own type, as I wanted to bring my own artistic abilities to this project. I felt that it made the design more unique and visually interesting, instead of using a generic gothic font. I ensured that all of the letters shared similar characteristics, in order for them to appear consistent.
