ZULUducation

This is a poster I did during my college days at ZIVA (Zimbabwe Institute of Vigital Arts). Poster For Tomorrow held a week long workshop at our campus hosted by Götz Gramlich in 2011. This year the poster got exhibited in England by Africa Art Showcase.

The poster tells a story of how we should fight for education for all, with the pencil as our spear and book as the shield. The ZULU warrior represents the aggression we should use in doing so. The colours chosen represent my country, Zimbabwe which, apart from all things, has the best literacy rate (91%) in Africa. It just goes to show how important Education is.
