Daily UI #007

Fell behind on my daily UI challenge this week so I thought I'd spend a little extra time on today's challenge - a music player screen.

When it comes to UI design, I have a few general philosophies :

1)
Only draw attention to the points of interaction. You can see that the eye is drawn to the time slider and the volume control (the tabs on the left) immediately - the two options I use most when listening to a song.

2)
Cut out the useless steps. It's a real bummer when I have to perform an action in order to perform the action that I really want (pressing a volume button to bring up a volume option). In order to remedy that, I put a low impact volume slider on the right side of the screen.
