Acadia Type Hike

My contribution to Type Hike, a lettering-based project to celebrate the National Park Service's Centennial. Was lucky enough to land Acadia National Park, and was stoked enough to go see it in the flesh to gather inspiration.

The piece is inspired by the sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain. Its elevation and eastern location sets it up to be the first spot in America to see the sun. Here we’re looking at Cadillac getting graced by the early morning sun from Schoodic Point to its east.
