Clay Buchholz was called on to make another spot start and ended up delivering six strong innings, allowing the Padres to score only one run. Back-to-back home runs from Jackie Bradley Jr. and Chris Young in the fourth inning accounted for three of Boston’s five runs and more than enough to earn the win.
