Skateboarding is not a crime

S.I.N.A.C. is a university project from my final year. A self-negotiated brief through which I tailored to substantiate the culture battle against skateboarding.

I brought together a team of journalists and media students to assist me to first reinforce the projects ideals through a current issue. This manifested into a support campaign to back the plans for a new local skatepark. We allowed the project to be used as a platform for the local skateboarding community to promote their views through our media outlets, from which would also reinforce the projects key goals.

The intention of educating the local public that the need for this new facility was necessary, and embracing it would benefit both sides. Whilst also using this campaign to salvage the deemed counterculture skateboarding was viewed as.

I created the vast amount of primary content myself prior to release, which was further reinforced through interviews from local activists to strengthen our opinions and position within the campaign. This allowed us to pursue with a strong and ultimately successful case, that presented a new side to the debate that was beforehand undisputed.
