Red Sox Scores: September 5, 2016
Drew Pomeranz faced off against his old team on Monday afternoon and took the loss in another low-scoring affair. Padres starter Edwin Jackson had an impressive outing, striking out 11 Red Sox over seven innings. All of the scoring happened on home runs — a two-run shot from San Diego third baseman Adam Rosales in the fourth and a pinch-hit solo blast from Chris Young in the eighth.
