SONOS Case Study

Last Christmas I received a SONOS system. While the speakers themselves are wonderful, the mobile and desktop apps have been frustrating and confusing since the first install.

With that said I'd like to introduce a case study that I've been working on for some time. My goal wasn't to reinvent the wheel and come up with a flashy new music player concept. My goal, and challenge, was to uncover what exactly made SONOS different than Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, or any other music player, aside from the obvious hardware aspect. I wanted to get to the bottom of why I face so much friction with the current app and see if I could make any improvements. In the coming week I plan to post a handful of additional shots and put together a full writeup on my Behance.

As I post and discuss, I would greatly appreciate any feedback you might have.
