Time Entry

Wireframing a new mobile app for a client whose staff does all their time entry manually, writing everything on paper. That paper is then handed to a data entry person, who enters everything into a piece of software.

They came to us to streamline that, assuming all shop floor staff will have a device they can access. The idea is to give them the ability to scan a barcode for the project they're working on, the work order/task number, scan the barcode on the equipment they're using, and then enter the time spent. Or, they can use the app to enter those items, bypassing the need to write them on paper and have another person do the entry.

We'll also be building a new, master data set for them as the proprietary software they have on hand doesn't tolerate PUT requests from other systems, but handles GET requests really easily!
