Westport Warhawks

This project started with band conductor wanting a logo for his performance band at his high school. Something that nodded to the school's mascot, The Warhawks, but still felt very different and with a strong musical influence.

One of the initial sketches included the five bar staff lines from sheet music as wings with the hawk sitting in the middle. From there, musical notes were added to reinforce sheet music. He asked if there was some way to get a treble clef in there some how... just without the curves.

The metronome idea just came while working on this. The shape of the bird's body looked like a traditional metronome so I presented this as an idea.
