Responsive combo box and date picker components

I wanted to share this old mockup with everyone, just because :)

I drew these mockups over two years ago already, mainly out of frustration over the date picker and combo box implementation that existed at that time in the Vaadin Framework. I wanted to design them to work great on both mouse and touch devices, regardless of viewport size.

Even though these design were not directly used as design documents for the new and elements (see https://vaadin.com/elements), it’s somehow rewarding to see that the date picker eventually ended up quite being very close to this design.

Neither of the components are “done” yet, and we will continue improving them and adding new features.
