It wouldn't be the world cup without an injury scare to a key England player, I've included some injuries obtained on route to the finals, like Terry Butcher's head injury but also players who would probably have made the squad that year barring injury, Jimmy Greaves for 1966, Gary Neville for 2002, Ledley King for 2006, Ashley Cole for 2010 and Theo Walcott for 2014.
