Having a concept or a direction rejected happens more than we'd like to admit sometimes, but it is the confidence we maintain in our ability to produce something better. I've learnt this the hard way as there have been many a projects, on which I've spent hours upon, completely scrapped.

This was one such example. However, business is business. Pragmatism is a rare trait that both designers and developers should develop when this kind of thing happens. The belief that we can build something better should surpass any attachment we develop to our work.
