Another sneak peak from the React.js app I've been working on. While the design still is not final and I'm not 100% happy with it, the process of getting my hands into the code and learning how web apps are built with React.js + Redux has been very valuable to me as a designer.

I've made a lot of stupid engineering mistakes in the build process, but it's helping me empathize with what engineers have to deal with when interpreting a designers work. Another hidden (but at times frustrating) benefit has been having a low level of skill in React.js, It's forced me to use a lot of restraint in my design, which I feel like has made the design process more honest & realistic.

In design, you can ether succeed or you can learn... it's a long journey until we end up landing somewhere in the middle and achieving both.
