Bible Study Magazine: Job: Suffering and Sovreignty

These are the spreads I created for the May/June issue of Bible Study Magazine's theme section. I created marbled paper by hand, brought them in to Photoshop and styled them into this editorial section.

I loved how well this theme worked for the book of Job—the marbling ties so closely to the story of suffering and confusion, almost as if nothing is solid or firm. The swirls and mixing have a visceral feeling that connects you to the plight of Job, while the gold threads mixed in bring a piece of hope and purpose.
