Bold Awards Logo Process

Trying to refresh the logo (http://bit.ly/2afnhvO) that Aquicore used for their first annual Bold Awards event. It's an event created by Aquicore, but it can have it's own branding since we bring together many industry leaders as sponsors (fun for me!). Here are two variations and possible color schemes. I am thinking of doing the logo in just red – maybe use all the colors interchangeably in the branding materials. What do you guys think?
