XII - The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man has intentionally taken a step back. In meditation, contemplation, rebellion, or grief, he's made the decision to not make any decisions for the moment. Committed to no act other than being, he has patience and will.

In arcanum II, The High Priestess, we see a retreat for the purpose of planning, worshiping, and study. Here we see a retreat to our own inner world.
