Gargoyle Sketch

Detail from the original graphite drawing of a gargoyle (finished piece painted in Photoshop).

Famed as the inexorable guardians of the Isla Aphotic cliffs, gargoyles are an ancient oviparous breed of nocturnal, coastal dwelling carnivores. They nest in caves and perch on rocky ledges, awakening just before dusk. Eagerly awaiting the darkness, gargoyles will emit low, throaty gurgles, purrs, or even a rumbling roar. The bull is approximately two-thirds the size of the female, flightless, and a superior climber.
