Video Tagging Concept 2
On photos you can see who is where with the tags on them but for a video current way of tagging doesn’t work very well. So I thought of a concept about how to implement image recognition to tag people in videos.
When you select to tag a video, it could be automatically scanned to show friends (or you) appearing in video and you can choose which ones to tag. If there’s someone which couldn’t be recognized you could add it manually and let this face be recognized throughout video.
Anyone watching the video could then choose the tags to watch only the parts where this person (or any tagged image) appears.
Besides the face, there could be an option to tag the voice, too. If the voice of users are kept as another data besides photos, it could be associated automatically which voice is belonging to which user tagged. If not or if the voice could’t be tagged automatically to anyone in video you could tag it manually -which I’ll do another shot for- So when you select to watch someone tagged, you wouldn’t miss any part where the person speaks but doesn’t appear in video.
Tagging could be done also after a live video finishes, by the broadcaster or tag request can be made by anyone watching the video later, just as in photos.
Other than tagging you could also search someone other than friends in video and fast-forward to his/her parts.
People use Facebook mostly to post their videos, so I've chosen it as context and adapted the idea to its interface.
