Ver Raum / Branding Identity

This identity design was inspired by the form and shape of the gallery space:

Mission Statement:
Ver Raum is a skylit gallery space inside a residency devoted to installation artists. Ver Raum takes the derivative of two languages to symbolize duality, contrast, and complexity that is encouraged for each exhibition. Ver Raum has two annual exhibition shows, one in the spring (April) and one in the winter (December). For each exhibition, there is a rotation of words that are used to drive the theme of the work in space. Playing with the notion of language and the verticality of the gallery, the installation artists are selected based on how they transform the space by creating layers of depth and experiences in each window that the viewer can look into. This idea of looking into the gallery but not actually being “in it” is the driving concept of the name of the space itself. Ver Raum is a vertical tank, a container of spaces, moments, objects and light. It is a tight tall room in the heart of San Francisco containing a portal for something else...
