XI: Strength

Meet Strength, XI in the major arcana series of the Tarot. This is the first of the series that I've designed for Tall Grass, the deck I'm creating (check out the project on Dribbble to see more shots)

Strength is all about following your instincts, listening to your gut, and a return of vital energy, particularly to sexual and creative aspects of life.

I always think of one of my favorite Joseph Campbell quotes, "you've got to put your head in the mouth of the lion." This card is a call to fearlessly do what you're called to do, to foresake security for the sake of curiosity. It's the first burst of energy toward an awakening that comes later in XX, Judgement.
