(1/365) National Fried Chicken Day

I'm going to attempt to draw one icon a day, each representing a lesser-known holiday celebrated on that day. I'm calling it the #‎365holidayiconchallenge.

I’m starting this challenge with National Fried Chicken Day. It’s apt that I’m starting with this one, as there’s little I love more than some good fried chicken - and a bucket of greasy poultry has always served to inspire. Nobody quite knows the origin of this annually-celebrated holiday, and as you’ll discover, most of the next holidays I’ll feature from here on out lack a good origin story as well. Regardless, let’s all raise a freshly fried drumstick as I make a toast: here’s hoping I see this project to the end!
