Identity Design - Johannesburg

The task for this assignment was to rebrand an area of South Africa for tourism purposes. Johannesburg is a large metropolitan area with a vibrant night life and arts community. It has a rich historic background and I thought it would be an interesting idea to design the logo to reflect the culture and excitement this city has to offer for the modern tourist. The colors in this design are based off pottery and patterns the native population has created giving the logo cultural ties that play into its history and its artistic community.
