An artist is driven by the urge to create, to share his or her ideas with the world, to make good art.

The sole purpose of a creative is to create. Not for likes, or comments, or shares, or appreciation, or fame, but just for the sake of creating and putting something out in the world. That's the only motive - To create.

It is risky. You are opening up to the world and sharing what YOU have created, vulnerable to all the criticism and judgments; and that's frightening.

But as Seth Godin says, if it isn't risky, it isn't art. No risk, no art. No art, no reward.
