Lussebullar

Lussebullar are very popular at xmas time where I come from. They are rich yeast dough buns, flavoured with saffron and cinnamon or nutmeg and contains currants (which are used for eyes on these buns).

The shine comes from them being brushed with egg before going into the oven.
