Red Sox Scores: July 1, 2016
After taking a commanding five-run lead into the sixth inning, Sox starter Steven Wright threw a fastball right over the plate to Angels first baseman C.J. Cron — who promptly drove it into the Monster seats for his first career grand slam. The nearly two-hour long rain delay proved beneficial for Boston though as they were able to hold onto their lead and grab their first win of July.
