Apricot & Amoeba

Alphabet Challenge: to expand my portfolio and practice more visual design skills, I'm creating a shot inspired by a word from every letter of the alphabet. Two friends gave me "apricot" and "amoeba" for A... so I decided to make a logo.

The difficulty I found with this piece was with the ends of the ampersand; the top end interrupts the space of "amoeba", so I cut the ends of the ampersand short, but I'm still not quite pleased with that part of the logo.
