Pageii Studio Newsmagazine Proof of concept
We adopted an "inside-out" approach to developing a Wordpress-based newsmagazine for a secret editorial. The results are intuitive features that are not natively available on Wordpress or any of the commercial themes.
1. All custom posts types across disparate plugins are natively linked without the need for post duplications.
2. Visibility of advertisements and featured posts are configurable in the search results. Keyword search yields more relevant and meaningful results (built upon plugin - SearchWP APIs).
3. Brisk performance (minimum plugin bloat as the theme was built from the ground up).
4. Post automatically publishes or expires based on predefined datelines and relevance settings - reducing errors from content neglect (customised WP Post Status).
5. Custom Fields, Custom Post Types, Custom Taxonomies, Custom Tags, custom metadata, and Custom Post Priorities - weaved with custom Front end renderers, give unlimited page view permutations regardless of originating plugin content (built upon private in-house plugins to query post results. The plugin CPTUI was used alongside AFC(Pro) to manipulate custom metadata.
6. Newsletter signup and Mailchimp Integration (MailChimp automatically gets the new subscriber particulars without any human actions)
7. Eventon Plugin Integration with rest of custom posts (not reinventing the wheel)
8. Maps integrate and show all posts related to Events or other custom posts tagged with geo-relevance. Filterable and searchable by location (built upon plugin - Advanced Google Maps Plugin for Wordpress)
9. Master Directory to filter all posts and content through an AJAX-based renderer (built upon plugin - Search & Filter Pro).
10. Customised UI with contexture Navigation Menu and Sticky sidebars that varies according to page template sets.
11. Flipbook style E-brochures and pdf downloads with previews.
12. Unlimited design layouts through seamless WP Visual Composer integrations.
13. Advertisement with standard Tracking Stats - Ads Posts turns up in category search results.
14. Auto-generation of Google authorship information for all posts based on custom metadata definitions.
