Red Sox Scores: June 26, 2016
With no other options for starting pitcher, Clay Buchholz took the mound on Sunday afternoon despite a horrible outing on Wednesday against the White Sox. In what looked to be a repeat performance, he gave up seven hits and five runs — most in the first inning — calling his future with the team into question (again). The Rangers’ starting pitcher, Martin Perez, was a different story however, allowing only one run — a solo shot by newcomer Bryce Brentz — in six innings of work.
